The best time for the newborn to be photographed is between 5 to 10 days of the age. This is key to having a successful newborn photo shoot and achieving those “sleepy, curled up” poses. Newborns tend to sleep less and are difficult to “curl up” and pose once they reach the 14 day mark.

When you book, I’ll mark your due date on my calendar and ask you to reach out to me within the first two days after baby arrives to schedule the date and time of the session. I photograph newborns M-Th in the mornings (when babies are the sleepiest). I only book 2-3 newborns due within the same week and only 4 due within a two week period. This allows room for everyone on the schedule once babies make their arrival. If you end up with a scheduled delivery, we can set the appointment time before baby’s arrival.

• You can always book at any time but spaces may be limited as you get closer to your due date. I tend to fill up quickly because I only photograph 2-3 newborns per week to allow everyone a custom, boutique experience. Most people book in their 2nd trimester.

Yes, we do offer home shoots for newborns. We understand that after delivering your bundle of joy, you might want to keep him safely tucked into your house. Our home shoot add on is meant to capture your special memories / moments during that time, without you, leaving the comfort of your own surroundings Ideally a newborn shoot should be done within the first 10 – 14 days of birth. So our team visits your home & works their magic of newborn posing to create those precious pictures that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Temperature Control: We maintain a 30+ degrees celsius in the shooting area so that the newborn is comfortable in even bare skin.

Hygiene: All the newborn props, wraps and outfits are washed and steamed after each use.

Private feeding room: We provide a private comfortable feeding room with a newborn cot and a diaper changing station.

The reason we photograph baby asleep is primarily for safety reasons, we would never put an awake baby in a bucket or in a pose. Newborns can be very strong and can easily move about, which we don’t want as that compromises their safety. The baby must be safely supported at all times. After many years of photographing newborns we’ve come to recognise just how much they change day by day and week by week after they are born. We want to capture them when they are fresh, tiny and curly just like they were when first born. You want to remember their tiny toes, delicate eyelashes, their little back rolls, wispy soft hair and the way their curl naturally into a womb-like pose all on their own. By 3 weeks they start to lose their womb-like curliness and are more awake –

so photographing those adorable posed images is not possible beyond the first couple of weeks of birth.

Not really. We can create almost all the set ups as we do in our studio. Just the props which are hung from ceiling cannot be done at home due to safety considerations. Rest everything remains the same.

All the sessions take place at my studio on Golf Course Road in Gurgaon. My studio is comfortable, luxurious, clean, naturally lit & temperature controlled. There is also a private feeding/changing room available for your use. New mothers feel super comfortable at my studio.

We need an empty floor area measuring a minimum of 15 x 15 feet During winters we would recommend to keep 2-3 heaters around the set up and blanket to wrap the baby in after each setup is done.

I will never photograph newborns sick. Period. I just do not take any chances. If in the event, I become sick near the day of your session, I will make every attempt to reschedule or refer you to a trusted colleague. I have a reciprocal agreement with a couple of photographers in the area to refer to one another when sick. If I refer, your deposit will be returned to you. That being said, I make every attempt to stay healthy. I am a faithful user of Juice Plus and elderberry and a bit of a germaphobe so I’m always washing. I ask that families reschedule in the event that a family member is sick too. This allows me to keep a safe studio environment. All props are sanitized between sessions. All soft goods laundered. Floors, bathrooms are surfaces cleaned daily.

Yes, you can include your older child in the newborn session for an additional cost. In the newborn setup they can be part of 1-2 photos with their younger sibling. They can also be part of the of the older
